Getting your Bali Beds and Palapas. What the marketing material does not reveal.
If you go to an all-inclusive resort, you might be wondering if the Bali Beds and Palapas are included with your stay, or will there be an extra charge for relaxing in the shade in supreme comfort. Unlike many other resorts, i’m happy to say that at Paradisus Punta Cana, by the pool, Bali Beds and Palapa Umbrellas ARE included with your all-inclusive package. Of course, that means you may need to time your visit properly and stroll over to the pool early enough stake your real estate for the day.
I was there with my family in April 2017 during spring break leading up to Easter holiday; so it may be a lot easier other times during the year to get into one of these luxurious beds or umbrellas, but for spring break, the early bird catches the worm.
What is a Bali Bed? A Bali Bed is an outdoor daybed on a platform with a mattress. It has a natural wooden frame around it offering a bit of privacy and offers a luxurious outdoor bed for lounging. The name Bali Bed originally comes from the wood culled in Bali, an island and province of Indonesia. This wood is used to make the beds. The Bali beds at the Paradisus Punta Cana Resort also have Palapa roofs.
What is a Palapa? A Palapa, is a thatched roof, covered in palm fronds that is open on all sides. Paradisus Resort also has plenty of lounge chairs covered in Palapa umbrellas. These umbrella are quite large and offer an abundance of luxurious, tropical, shaded areas to relax on those sunny days.
